I'm starting the internship today with a fresh mind in this new week! Excited for this week's learning outcome and experience!

Firstly, I have to go through the first step before going to the other design matters which is the layout finalization. Once the layout if final I can proceed with the interior design of the canteen. So I did some changes in the layout that needed to reach the requirement of the seating capacity which is around 70 or more. This layout fits 72 people.

ZOOM MEETINGS

On Tuesday morning after checking in with Mr. Prama, I was told that there is going to be a zoom meeting with other MetR employees. I was shocked as it was very sudden, but I prepared myself and joined the online meeting. The meeting went great! I felt the warm welcome and kindness from the individuals of MetR Design during this meeting.

During the zoom meeting, I was told about the deadline of the canteen design using the timeline. The deadline is due by the end of this week (week 3 of April).

Then I had a private zoom meeting, discussing about further changes for the design.

In frame: me, Mr. Bayu & Mr. Prama.

Tried rough test rendering with additional hanging plants as well as the ceiling fan. But the hanging plants looks a bit weird so more changes of the interior design coming up!

LAYOUT The new layout produced clearer circulation as well as neater seating layout. This final

layout (before design approval by the client) fits 74 people.

THE INTERIOR

As the whole concept is calming, neutral, fresh with modern tropical vibe, the interior is starting to show as so, throughout the progress and changes. An earthy tone color palette with a fresh windy ambiance while having a meal is very pleasant and will simply brighten up the day of the office workers :)

I had a private zoom meeting with Mr. Prama for a little bit but the connection went bad so we ended up discussing through WhatsApp. Luckily the deadline is postponed to next week!

Final discussion involving a few changes and new ideas added to the project using more of rattan woven materials. But since the discussion was near the end of working hours I didn't make that much changes only minor details on the design.

This week was kinda tiring since I went a little bit overboard with my working hours. On some days, I decided on my own to work and get things done even after 6. (Ps: when I'm excited about a certain project, I can't seem to stop, oops).

Next week will have fresh changes and closer to a final decision for the design. I'm really happy with the result so far, with the help and guidance of Mr. Prama. But Stay tuned cause the fun has just begun!
